Last updated: July 5, 2026
Overview
Redmine Board is a browser extension that provides a Kanban board interface for Redmine project management. This Privacy Policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.
Data Handling
The extension accesses two types of data:
1. Authentication Data
What: Your Redmine API key.
How it is obtained: Read directly from the currently active Redmine page when you click the extension icon.
Purpose: Used to authenticate API requests to your Redmine server for fetching and updating issues.
2. Website Content
What: Content from your Redmine pages, including issue properties, titles, descriptions, statuses, and project names.
How it is obtained: Read from the active Redmine tab and fetched via the Redmine REST API.
Purpose: Displayed in the Kanban board, document-style views, and exported to DocX files.
How the Developer Handle Your Data
Local storage only: The API key is stored exclusively in chrome.storage.session (browser memory). It is automatically cleared when the browser is closed.
No persistent storage: The extension does not save your API key or any other data in localStorage or any other persistent storage.
No third-party servers: All API requests are made directly from your browser to your own Redmine server. No data is ever sent to, collected by, or stored on any third-party servers.
No analytics or tracking: The extension does not collect usage statistics, browsing history, or any telemetry data.
Data Sharing
The developer do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties. Your Redmine credentials and project data remain entirely under your control.
